2. When was DOTS ICT Institute of Technology established?
The Institute was officially commissioned on 29 July 2008 by the then Ogun State Honourable Commissioner for Education, Prof. Segun Awonusi. Since then, it has remained a leading institution for ICT education and professional development.

3. Is the National Diploma (ND) programme accredited?
Yes. DOTS ICT Institute of Technology received approval from the Federal Ministry of Education and accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) in May 2026 to offer the National Diploma (ND) in Computer Science.

4. How can I gain admission into the National Diploma programme?
Admission into the National Diploma (ND) in Computer Science is through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Applicants must also meet the admission requirements prescribed by NBTE and JAMB.

5. What are the admission requirements?
Applicants must:

  • Possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • Be at least 16 years of age at the time of admission.
  • Meet the current JAMB admission requirements.

6. How long is the National Diploma programme?
The National Diploma (ND) in Computer Science is a two-year full-time programme designed to equip students with practical and theoretical knowledge in computing, software development, networking, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies.

7. What opportunities are available after completing the ND programme?
Graduates may proceed to Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in:

  • Artificial Intelligence Technology
  • Cybersecurity Technology
  • Computer Networks and Cloud Computing Technology
  • Software and Web Development

They may also gain Direct Entry admission into 200 Level in Nigerian universities to study programmes such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence.
